Fundamentals of Home Inpspection Class

Course Description:

The Fundamentals of Home Inspection class is designed to prepare someone to become a new home inspector and to take the National Home Inspector Exam. Emphasis is placed on the proper methods and practices to conduct a home inspection.

Students are trained in each of the major categories of an inspection, following the standards of practice followed by GAHI Certified Inspectors.

  • Heating and System Inspections
  • Cooling System Inspections
  • Basements and Crawlspaces

 DAY 5

  • Decks
  • Report Writing Exercise 2
  • Review & Overview for National Home Inspector Certification
  • Test & Review

The class is 5 days: January 13, 15, 16, 20, 21. The class is held at the Chattahoochee Tech. North Metro Campus at Acworth, GA.

IRC Building Module Class

Exam Prep Class: International Residential Code Building Module- IRC-B1

 Time: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Course length: 24 Hrs (2.4 CEU) / (4 days)

Location: Chattahoochee Tech - North Metro Campus, Acworth, GA

GAHI Members with ICC Combination Certification (Refresher):       $250.00

Student level: Intermediate: Basic knowledge of residential building terminology and components.

Course Objective: To prepare the student to take the ICC Building Certification exam.

  •  The class is intended to provide an overview of the critical concepts of the International Residential Code ® for individuals pursuing the certification of Residential Building Inspector (B1).
  • The scope of this class covers chapters 3-10 of the IRC including building planning, foundations, floors, wall construction and covering, roof/ceiling construction, and chimneys and fireplaces.

Who should attend: Inspectors, architects, engineers, system designers, & builders.
